Prestigious awards unveiled at Stansted Airport

The prestigious 2010 East of England Business in the Community Awards(BiTC) will be launched at a special reception hosted by principal sponsors　London Stansted Airport - Wednesday 9th December.

The launch event, at the airport’s Radisson Blu Hotel, will showcase the wide variety of awards which recognise the many excellent corporater esponsibility programmes undertaken by businesses across the region.　　

Ashley Riley, Stansted Airport’s Head of Communications, said:　　"We are extremely proud of our partnership with BiTC having sponsored these prestigious awards for the last two years. There is a great deal of expertise and good work undertaken in our region. We are always impressed with the level of entries which showcase the commitment there is in the east from businesses working in the community. We would encourage companies from across the East of England, even in these difficult economic times, totake an active role profiling their excellent work by entering the awards."　

Following the reception, the airport will host an Awards Workshop aimed at companies who are contemplating entering the awards. It will give practical advice and assistance on how to win, and include a winning presentationfrom Anglian Water.　　

At the 2009 BiTC East of England Awards for Excellence, Stansted Airportwas highly commended in the category for Most Innovative New Programme. The airport took the accolade for its work with Harlow Education and Employers partnership in supporting four Harlow schools through alternative work related activities, including work experience.

What is the Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce?

The Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce (SACC) serves the following purposes:

Promotion of trade in or around Stansted Airport, Essex
Collection of information and statistics which may be of use to their members
The facilitation of Business Networking
To offer access to the many business opportunities as Stansted Airport develops

Is there a One member per profession policy?

Some business groups restrict membership to one member per type of profession this is not the case with the SACC.

How much are the Fees?

Stansted Airport Chamber of Commerce Membership Fee is just £195.00 per annum (+VAT)

Event costs from £16.00 (+VAT) for members and from £30.00 (+VAT) for non-members. Non members welcome for a maximum of 3 attendances.

Please note: Due to Event Administration Event Fees can only be re-imbursed with two working days notice of cancellation.

Where and how often will my banner be displayed?
Your banner will be incorporated into our 'banner rotator'. This is displayed along the foot of every page on this website. Each time a visitor clicks onto another page a random banner is selected. If the visitor stays on that page the banner will change every 7 seconds. If a visitor floats their mouse over your banner it will freeze the rotation until they move the cursor away from your banner. If they click on your banner it will open a new window and direct them to your website (this is called a click-through).
Can you tell me how many times my banner was displayed?
As the banner rotator randomly changes every 7 seconds it is not possible to provide you with total number of times it was displayed
